Iapos;m moving. again. itapos;s not that i dislike living with pizzi, i actually enjoy it quite a bit. iapos;m moving in with dave and tim in december. in a house that is literally 5 miles down the road from where i live right now. no neighbors (unless you count the deer). a house, not a townhouse or apartment. hardwood flooring, fireplace...itapos;s nice. and much cheaper for me (which is good. still working towards that "no debt" goal i donapos;t think iapos;ll ever reach). downsides are that my bedroom will be almost half the size it is now and no more private bathroom. and the house was recently broken into. so we plan on having a couple big dogs and a shotgun or two. but it should be fun.

since it will be cheaper, that may mean after my credit card is kaput and my car is paid down just a tad more i can quit the wine store. i like working there--fun atmosphere and gotta love the discount and tastings. but 2 jobs is killing me. i want to be able to socialize again. this weekend has been the first 2-day weekend iapos;ve had in a long time.

wingate is no longer the only undefeated school in nc football. i think they needed the wake up call. and i amazingly still have a voice, despite screaming my head off at the game last night.

i begin my tour-du-force build for the opera this week. was given a total of 3 weeks to design and build for "hansel and gretel." and $1000 budget. itapos;s quite possible. and iapos;m using pyrotechnics in the show. thatapos;s right kiddos, iapos;m playing with explosives in front of a live audience.

i have my first private music student iapos;m teaching theory, notation, and basic composition to a homeschooled girl who wants to go to school of the arts. makes me happy.

as far as my goals, roll a die. the fear is starting to set in that iapos;ll be at wingate much longer than i had planned...

Hello there, avid readers of my blog. Each and every one of you. Including you, the little one, third from the right. No, the one next to you. Yes, you. Hello.

That was random.

Anyhoo, today Iapos;m working my first Saturday shift at the HTC. Exciting, no? Right Not exciting Meh, its easy work, Iapos;m getting paid, and its at least something to do. Sporadic something, sure, but something nonetheless.

Last night, James and I went and saw the national tour of A Chorus Line, at the Opera House, here in Boston. apos;twas an interesting experience. We met a very nice woman before the show from Atlanta, who chatted with us. She was fun. The show.... A big apos;ole mixed bag. Overall, let me say that it was an incredibly enjoyable performance of one of the best musicals of all-time. The cast all danced fabulously, I donapos;t have a single issue with that aspect of the production. However, some cast members were extremely under-whelming, acting-wise. While there were some definite highlights in the cast (including Nikki Snelson as Cassie, and Jay Armstrong Johnson as Mark), a large percentage of the cast seemed to have been cast on the basis of dancing alone. While the dancing is an obvious requirement for a show like A Chorus Line, a majority of the characters are so wonderfully rich and vivid that it is a real let-down when the performers cannot act the roles. Perhaps it is just my assessment (James did not have a problem with one melodramatic cast member I talked to him about), but it just didnapos;t work for me. But, that said, the show speaks for itself. Thereapos;s a reason A Chorus Line is widely-regarded to be one of the best American musicals ever written.

Thatapos;s essentially all I have for todayapos;s post. Itapos;s been a week full of work (which is good), as well as seeing A Chorus Line. So, yeah. Before I go on with more meaningless, random filler (see first paragraph), Iapos;m going to peace out. Sooo, peace out.
